We signed our daughter up one year ago beginning with the 6 week trial, so that she could get some exposure. Having no martial arts experience, we felt that this would give her a chance to try it and see if it was something she would like to keep doing once the trial was up. From the start, she was welcomed and treated as if she had always been there - there was no "new kid" syndrome. What we appreciate most is that she is pushed every class to be better than the last class. Self defense is something that cannot be take lightly, and Newaza's commitment to excellence, family and respect shows in all of the coaches and the students. You really do feel like you're part of the family as you're studying under someone who lives and loves this and wants to share it with everyone under his care. What I have noticed in the last year since we began is that our daughter not only has become more confident in every aspect of her life but she also just treats herself and other around her with a greater respect. Newaza just doesn't teach you jiu jitsu, it also teaches how to be a better human being. That is worth the price by itself.

We started with Newaza 2.5 years ago and so happy we did! The instructors possess extensive knowledge and organize fun drills. What stands out the most is the individualized teaching approach towards each student, tailoring their methods to suit the unique needs and learning styles of every student to ensure each reaches full potential. It is evident that cleanliness and hygiene are top priorities for this business, which is essential for creating a conducive learning environment. The thoughtfulness of the staff is also evident through their coordinated events for kids. My boys absolutely love the member NERF battle/movie nights and the seasonally themed graduations or parties. These activities not only make learning fun but also foster a sense of community and excitement among the students. Newaza's class schedule, training structure, and quarterly graduations (for kids) create a nice balance that promotes self-discipline and instills the importance of hard work and dedication. In addition to self-defense skills, Newaza has helped both of my boys develop a sense of confidence. Particularly for my older son, the skills learned have allowed him to overcome bullying, and empowered him to more confidently navigate his daily life. All of these qualities will undoubtedly benefit them in all aspects of life.

Me and my two girls, 14 and 12 have been training at Newaza for a few weeks already and from the first day we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Rogerio and his team. The classes are taught with great passion and Knowledge, making learning Jiu-Jitsu a rewarding experience.
